On a splendid Sunday afternoon, MRC Sarawak had the privilege of signing a charitable agreement with Thien Lee Marketing Sdn Bhd, a renowned cooking ingredient wholesaler in Sarawak. The collaboration is structured so that for every packet sold of Thien Lee Marketing’s brand, 5 cents will be donated to the MRC Sarawak Chapter.<\/p>\n

MRC is a voluntary humanitarian organization dedicated to providing assistance without discrimination to those in need, especially during emergencies and disasters. MRCS is recognized by the Malaysian government as a voluntary aid organization, auxiliary to public authorities in the humanitarian field. It is committed to providing relief and support services during times of disaster, emergency, and community health issues. Their activities range widely, including disaster relief, first aid training, health and social programs, youth development, and blood donation drives.<\/p>\n

All the humanitarian work mentioned requires funding. This charitable agreement arrives just in time to support the organization’s funding needs. While 5 cents may seem small to many, the accumulation of many such contributions can form a substantial sum, potentially generating tens to hundreds of thousands of ringgit annually.<\/p>\n

The charitable agreement was signed by Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr. George Chan Hong Nam, Chairperson of MRC Sarawak Chapter, and Mr. Allen Ho, Director of Thien Lee Marketing Sdn Bhd, and was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Datuk Amar Prof. Dr. Sim Hui Hian, Deputy Premier and Minister of Public Health, Housing & Local Government, Sarawak.<\/p>\n

The official commencement was celebrated by inviting all guests to place a sticker on a product of Thien Lee Marketing.<\/p>\n
