SARAWAK HEALTH CARNIVAL
In conjunction with the World Blood Donor Day and Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) 75th Anniversary Celebration, MRC Sarawak, in collaboration with Sarawak General Hospital organised this event on 25 June 2023 at The Spring Mall Kuching.
The event was officiated by YB Prof. Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak.
Dr Ngian Hie Ung, Director, Sarawak General Hospital as well as Dr S. Selva Jothi, National Vice Chairperson, Malaysian Red Crescent also gave speech during the event.
The highlight of the event was presentation of awards to the most blood donors. Also there were activities like photo exhibition of Malaysian Red Crescent as well as MRC Sarawak, healthy workshop and quiz, kids colouring contest, education pathway, AED exhibition, health screening, dental screening, etc.
Not forgetting the blood donation campaign, 180 blood donors registered in less than 1.5 hours! Special thanks to the Federation of Kuching, Samarahan & Serian Division Chinese Association Youth Section in co-organising the blood donation campaign. Appreciation extended to the sponsors too!
