The MRC Miri Kidney Dialysis Centre (KDC) started the haemodialysis operation back in 1996. It is an ultra modern state of the art dialysis centre and the only dialysis centre run by the Malaysian Red Crescent Society. Due to the increasing demand, a second dialysis centre was built in 2019 and completed in 2021 in Permyjaya. It has been fully operational since March 2023. Both centres are now serving more than 300 patients.
